20 good work habits

1. Be punctual. Be punctual for work. Even better, be early. Start the day feeling relaxed and settled.

2. Initiative. Take the initiative to get thing done, even if that means you have to fill up the kettle and boil the water – just do it.

3. Neat, tidy and clean. Make sure your desk or workstation is neat, clean and pleasant. Clear perishable rubbish immediately and wash your mug at the end of the workday. The same attitude applies to the general office area and restrooms – use them considerately for others to enjoy as well.

4. Organized. The best indicator is to see if your tray, desk, drawers and cabinets are cluttered and messy or well-labeled and orderly.

5. Systematic. A good system smoothens work processes. Generally, established companies have a standard operating procedure (SOP) manual as a guideline. If all you have are verbal instructions, develop your own checklist of how a task should be done.

6. Efficient. Some people are naturally efficient. You can develop this skill be thinking through. By doing so, you will know how processes can be done in a faster, smarter and more convenient way.

7. Problem solving. Understand what you are doing and improvise on existing work processes. Give feedback, ideas and suggestions to colleagues and clients to help them come up with solution.

8. Follow-up. This does not mean chasing people after a day's notice. Give them a gentle reminder after a space of three days. Most people understand urgency and will help you expedite matters if you understand the importance of the deadline. Always exercise diligence in matters of finance and when forwarding documents to a third party. Have a tracking system on your calendar.

9. Fast. Learn to work fast on routine jobs. But this does not mean rushing to get things done.

10. Accuracy. Learn to pay attention to details especially if you are dealing with numbers and dates.

11. Fewer mistakes. Everybody makes fewer, but you should aim to make fewer mistakes on routine jobs. Always be mindful that some mistakes come with a cost.

12. Paperwork. Be good in your paperwork. Clear paper as soon as possible and keep all your files updated so that you have important details at your fingertips.

13. Interpersonal. Be friendly, pleasant and have positive attitude towards your colleagues and your boss. Don't show your temper, keep a long face or be sarcastic as it is totally unacceptable. Maintain a pleasant and upbeat telephone-voice when you make or take calls as this reflects the image of the company.

14. Teamwork. Be a team player. Be willing to share ideas, work experience, information, and templates and so on, so other colleagues won't have to re-invent the wheel. This is how you build trust with each other.

15. Office etiquette. Don't spend too much time on personal calls, e-mails, text messages or tea breaks. Respect other's personal space and desk. Avoid using office paper and stationery for personal reasons.

16. Writing. Work on your letter writing and report writing skills. The only way to do this is to write more.

17. Reading. Equally important is the ability to read, comprehend and grasp the essentials – concepts, facts, figures and instructions.

18. Priority. Know what is important and what can be shelved. Stay focused, keep to your deadline, plan your work for the day and the week and allow some flesibility for last-minute projects.

19. Filing. This is important as you may need to retrieve documents or answer questions by your supervisors immediately, and they cannot be kept waiting. This applies to both physical files in the cabinet as well as files on your computer.

20. Responsibility. Know your level of responsibility with the company and take ownership for your job scope and inventory.

 

The sooner you acquire or boost these skills, the fast you will shine in your new job and impress the people you work with.

创业的36条军规

第1条:创业者,人生之大事也,不可轻启。创业是带着一群未知的人去一个未知的地方干一件未知的事儿,九死一生,如果没有做好破釜沉舟的决心,最好不要启程。

第2条:只有20%的人适合创业,适合创业的人之中只有5%的人适合当总经理。敢于创业并且敢于让比自己更适合的人当总经理的创业者成功机会更大。作为创业团队的成员,周恩来与毛泽东作用同样伟大。

第3条:创业的机会成本非常大。大凡想创业的的人,都是同辈中的佼佼者,把创业的热情和心思用在好好打工上,很可能会飞速升官发财,选择创业,进入的是一条前途朦胧的路,精神压力也骤然加大。开设创业之前,要权衡权衡你的创业机会成本。

第4条:创始人必须一直承受"非人待遇"。你需要给所有人交待,投资人,合伙人,下属、员工、帮企业的朋友。你永远无人可求助,你永远得撑着最后一片天,帐上没有一分钱时也得做出腰缠万贯的样子,打落牙齿和血吞,这就是创始人的生活。

第5条:只有创新才能创始。虽然有人推崇copy,但是没有一个伟大的公司是依靠copy成功的,要想创出业,要想创始事,必须创新。只有创新才能打造出企业的战斗力。产品创新很重要,但好的产品未必是市场上成功的产品。企业的股东构成、治理结构、渠道政策、推广方式皆可皆需创新。

第6条:想当创始人,首先要树立远大的革命理想和必胜的革命信念。90%以上的创业失败是因为放弃,90%以上的放弃是因为失去了信心。只有你自己知道去哪里才能带领团队去那里,如果你自己都不相信自己追求的方向能成功,你的团队不可能有斗志,你的用户不可能接受你。

第7条:时时思考,事事复盘,不要在同一类地方跌倒两次。大多数的不知道该怎么办是因为没有深入思考过,大多数的错误是重复性错误,思考可以让你比团队更加胸有成竹,和团队一起复盘,重新回忆和分析当初是如何思考如何决策如何一步步成功或者失败的,这是最好的学习方式。

第8条:要有坚强的神经和摧不跨的心理素质。要做野地里贱养放养的小红鼠,不能做温室里圈养的小白鼠。刮骨疗毒、壮士断腕,创始人必须有股子"对自己的狠劲儿",有坚强的神经和不可能被摧垮的心理素质,才能应对创业路上的千沟万壑。

第9条:先学会赚钱,再研究发展。不用担心"企业很赚钱但是模式不性感,价值有限"之类的说法,不要沉湎于"有了1000万用户后如何如何"之类的梦想。我相信,也许有不赚钱但有价值的企业,但是一定没有赚钱但无价值的企业,先让企业赚钱,这是创业的头等大事。

第10条:相信直觉,敢于拍板。成功的企业都有性格和灵魂,这是由其创始人注入的。创业路上,团队对于模式方向战略有争议是正常的,作为创始人,要尊重自己的直觉,敢于相信自己的直觉,敢于坚持自己的直觉,敢于拍板。即便是拍板得有些偏差,也强于大家叽叽喳喳或群龙无首。

第11条:创业没有剧本,学会拥抱变化。作战计划再周详,枪声一响预案基本就没用了,所以军事上有一个词叫"指挥官意图"。创业路上,在坚持方向的同时,要学会理解和贯彻"指挥官意图",提交给投资人或者董事会的商业计划是一回事,实际经营应该主动根据市场反馈及时调整,适应变化。

第12条:早5分钟行动,留3分力在手,随时准备自救。五分钟就能决定战斗的胜负,想好了马上就动手,未雨绸缪是最有效的武器。牌再好也不要孤注一掷,不要寄希望于好运气,永远留有预备队是拿破仑百战百胜的绝招。不要指望投资人、朋友或者员工能够救你,随时准备自救方能长命百岁。

第13条:为谋生进行的创业大都是没有价值的。创业路上,日新月异自然好,关门大吉也不坏,最坏的情况是陷入死胡同了却不断投入资源苦苦维持。如果发现事情不可为,一定要敢于收手转型。转型不是失败,为了维持的维持才是最大的失败。今天我们看到的很多伟大企业都是转型而来。

第14条:广阔天地才能大有作为。很多创始人选择自己会做的事去创业,这是自然的。但未必对,首先必须研究清楚你会做的是不是市场需要的,需求到底有多大。如果只是少数人在少数时候才会需要的,趁早别做,那叫概念不叫商品。如果是大多数人在大多数情况下非需要不可的,那是创业机会。

第15条:不仅要想清楚怎么赚钱还要想清楚怎么赚大钱。企业的核心是赚钱的方式,即商业模式。企业要成功必须找到赚钱的模式,而且是简单、可复制的模式。模式要简单是因为只有简单的方法才能够被各级下属所执行,要可复制是要求模式的投入产出必须算得过帐,投入必须能够创造利润。

第16条:创业的关只能一关一关过。企业从创立、研发出产品、试用、做样板市场、复制市场、增值经营、上市、业务延展,每个阶段都是一关,每一关都得扎扎实实地突破,不要祈望有捷径可走,不要祈望跨越式发展,经营企业,其实就是做对的事情,把每件对的事情都做了,就成长了。

第17条:融资不是结婚。资本不是企业的婚姻,投资人不是陪伴你走一辈子的人,更像保姆,帮你照顾孩子,你得按月付工钱。资本投进来就是为了将来退出,而退出的时候你必须给予足够的回报。这关系不能搞错,用对待老婆的方式去对待保姆,犯错误不说,最后搞得家庭破碎都不知道怎么收场。

第18条:先想明白准备怎么花钱再去要钱。很多创始人总认为企业发展不起来是因为没有钱,其实不然。很多时候目前企业发展的瓶颈根本不是钱,解决了真正的瓶颈没有融资一样能够前进。反之,如果自己没有想清楚要钱做什么,怎么花,在见多识广眼光独到的投资人那里也是融不来资的。

第19条:一轮一轮地去融资。运气好一次性融到企业一辈子的钱固然好,但是代价也是不为人知的大的。应该根据企业研发、打样、复制、拉升、Pre-IPO等阶段,一轮一轮融资,每一轮只要需要的钱,目的只是做下一阶段的事儿,再打个30%-50%富余,这样融资比较清晰,对股权的稀释也比较小。

第20条:为公司找钱和找人是创始人的事儿。不要指望找个人替自己干这两件事儿。基金同样在寻找好项目,了解基金的存续周期、投资阶段、投资领域和投资规模等属性,了解基金选择项目的原则,了解合伙人个人的风格,知己知彼,利人利己。

第21条:时间早点、价格低点、规模小点。这是融资的窍门,虽然创始人总是认为自己的企业很值钱,但是资本投资你就是为了挣钱,价格低点规模小点就意味着投资者的风险低点,加上早点展开沟通,融资成功的机会自然会大些,虽然资本市场流传着很多五分钟融资的故事,但那对你可遇不可求。

第22条:美元日元都是人民币。在你没有钱的时候,谁的钱的价值都一样。在你有的选的时候,你可以比较钱的背景、资源、代管人等各个因素,但是为此浪费太多的时间或者搞得丧失自己的信誉和人格就没有必要了,本质上,各种钱对公司的要求都是一样的,价值也是差不多的。

第23条:投资人帮你是情份,计算你是本份,帮到你是戏份。很多投资人会告诉你除了钱还会带给你很多资源,可以期待,但是不要期望太高。介绍关系一定能够做到,能否解决问题还要看是否符合市场规律以及缘分,投资人是你的全部,你只是投资人的几十分之一。

第24条:不要对赌。一般来讲,创始人很少会输掉对赌,但是我依然不赞成对赌条款,原因很简单,对赌会让管理层动作变形,会去做很多正常经营不会做的动作,这些动作带给企业的危害会远远大于对赌条款带给投资人的保障。事实上,当投资人对赌赢了的时候投资已经失败了。

第25条:不放弃公司的控制权,不要让投资人替你决策。融资之后按照惯例必须接受一些优先股条款,但事关股东会、董事会投票权等的条款绝对不能掉以轻心;不要认为自己没有经验就把想当然地听从投资人的意见来决策,实际上,真正了解公司的只有你自己,所以,大的决策你必须自己去判断。

第26条:公司做起来后不需要钱也要融资。引入投资人可以改善公司的股东结构,强化董事会作用以及逼迫公司按照现代企业去经营,提升公司的竞争力。而且,原则上企业的资源都是稀缺的,引入更多的资金能够让企业发展得更快,在飞机大炮遍地的战场上,靠小米加步枪去打仗,打胜亦是偶然。

第27条:上市只是企业的成人礼。企业发展到一定阶段一定要上市,就如成人一样,只有过了上市关才意味着企业的经营规范了,发展可持续了。但是千万不要认为企业的目的就是上市,不要为了上市而上市,创始人的眼睛还是要紧盯用户和市场,如果只是围着上市转,即便上市了也会得不偿失的。

第28条:分清企业周边的三种人。企业发展离不开股东、朋友和员工,这三种人不能搞混。该是朋友的人如果成了股东或者员工,很可能不但无法再帮到企业,还会带来各种扯不清的矛盾;该是员工的成了股东,董事会必然会混乱起来,该是股东的成了朋友对企业的事儿很可能慢慢就袖手旁观了。

第29条:选股东是结婚,必须志同道合优势互补,婚前协议很重要。宁缺毋滥,一旦有错误的股东在,企业就像先天不足的婴儿,发展起来会步履维艰。办企业,有一个模板式的章程是远远不够的,股东之间事先必须签署股东协议,对于企业方向、制度、股东权利义务以及退出机制做出明确规定。

第30条:铁打的营盘流水的兵,能用一次分配激励的员工不要用二次分配激励。不要指望你的员工风雨无阻地跟着你前进,也不要怕员工的流动。对员工必须文化塑造、制度约束和激励三管齐下。就激励而言,能够用奖金方式激励的员工一定不要用期权激励,能够用期权激励的一定不要用股权激励。

第31条:构建54321的股东结构。股东结构如同孩子的出身,某种程度上决定企业的最终成就。原则上5个股东为佳,必须有大股东,大股东持股以40%左右为佳,二股东不应超过30%,至少有2个股东应该不在经营层,股东同意未来一起拿出10%来作为期权激励高管和接班人,这是比较稳定和可持续的。

第32条:人对了,事就对了,企业价值观必须一开始就建立。事为重人为先,一个有战斗力的团队必须有共同的价值观,所谓人对了就是价值观一致,人不对出问题是早晚的。企业价值观的提炼与宣贯越早期越好,一定要天天讲月月讲,而且应该进入到企业的考评体系,考评权重至少应该占到30%。

第33条:管理上原则问题必须第一时间明确表态。和稀泥以及结论不明确是管理上的大忌,由其是对于初创企业而言。何谓企业的价值观?无外乎是是非标准以及价值取向而已,如果创始人对于原则问题都没有明确态度,企业的价值观从何而来?即时的表态,和表态本身一样重要。

第34条:管理三要素,战略最重要。搭班子定战略带队伍,战略对于企业最为关键。战略是企业的方向和前进路线,经营企业如同驾驶一艘大船在海上航行,不知道要去向那个方向,不知道自己的航线,不能保证自己一直在航线上那是非常可怕的,不但达不到目的地,而且随时有触礁沉没的危险。

第35条:抓好四个环节来领导团队-对表、切磋、算帐和复盘。对表:给自己和下属设定明确可执行的目标;切磋:经常和下属以及下属的下属一起头脑风暴如何达成目标;算帐:期末考核并兑现奖惩;复盘:抛开对错回顾得失总结经验。对表和算帐是管理,切磋和复盘是指导,创始人必须都兼顾。

第36条:学先进、傍大款、走正道。冯仑兄的理论是至理名言,36条军规归根到底就是这一条。所谓学先进:不论是管理还是技术还是产品,别人好的地方我们坚决地学习;所谓傍大款:不论股东还是融资或者是合作,去黏比自己强的;所谓走正道:做对人类有益的生意,按照法律和道德底线做事。

bought iPAD for Siyuan as birthday gift

Bought a iPAD as a birthday gift for Siyuan a few days ago. Just after a few days' experiences, Now Siyuan is very enjoying playing this iPAD. Most he likes to play these small games (application downloaded from Apple Store for free), watch cartoon from youtube, and moving icons around the screen. What is more, my mother-in-law also likes it very much, very user-friendly, and easier to carry it just like a normal book. Meanwhile, i don't feel any battery shortage issues which i was worried before.
 
It costed me S$728 from Challenge retail shop at Jurong Point. I think it really worth it. Actually I bought i netbook (Acer) 1 year ago at almost same price, now I am very seldom to use it.

零八宪章

零八宪章(简体中文版)

2008年12月10日公布

一、前言

    今年是中国立宪百年,《世界人权宣言》公布60周年,“民主墙”诞生30周年,中国政府签署《公民权利和政治权利国际公约》10周年。在经历了长期的人权 灾难和艰难曲折的抗争历程之后,觉醒的中国公民日渐清楚地认识到,自由、平等、人权是人类共同的普世价值;民主、共和、宪政是现代政治的基本制度架构。抽 离了这些普世价值和基本政制架构的“现代化”,是剥夺人的权利、腐蚀人性、摧毁人的尊严的灾难过程。21世纪的中国将走向何方,是继续这种威权统治下的“ 现代化”,还是认同普世价值、融入主流文明、建立民主政体?这是一个不容回避的抉择。

19世纪中期的历史巨变,暴露了中国传统专制制度的腐朽,揭开了中华大地上“数千年未有之大变局”的序幕。洋务运动追求器物层面的进良,甲午战败再 次暴露了体制的过时;戊戌变法触及到制度层面的革新,终因顽固派的残酷镇压而归于失败;辛亥革命在表面上埋葬了延续2000多年的皇权制度,建立了亚洲第 一个共和国。囿于当时内忧外患的特定历史条件,共和政体只是昙花一现,专制主义旋即卷土重来。器物模仿和制度更新的失败,推动国人深入到对文化病根的反 思,遂有以“科学与民主”为旗帜的“五四”新文化运动,因内战频仍和外敌入侵,中国政治民主化历程被迫中断。抗日战争胜利后的中国再次开启了宪政历程,然 而国共内战的结果使中国陷入了现代极权主义的深渊。1949年建立的“新中国”,名义上是“人民共和国”,实质上是“党天下”。执政党垄断了所有政治、经 济和社会资源,制造了反右、大跃进、文革、六四、打压民间宗教活动与维权运动等一系列人权灾难,致使数千万人失去生命,国民和国家都付出了极为惨重的代 价。

二十世纪后期的“改革开放”,使中国摆脱了毛泽东时代的普遍贫困和绝对极权,民间财富和民众生活水平有了大幅度提高,个人的经济自由和社会权利得到 部分恢复,公民社会开始生长,民间对人权和政治自由的呼声日益高涨。执政者也在进行走向市场化和私有化的经济改革的同时,开始了从拒绝人权到逐渐承认人权 的转变。中国政府于1997年、1998年分别签署了两个重要的国际人权公约,全国人大于2004年通过修宪把“尊重和保障人权”写进宪法,今年又承诺制 订和推行《国家人权行动计划》。但是,这些政治进步迄今为止大多停留在纸面上;有法律而无法治,有宪法而无宪政,仍然是有目共睹的政治现实。执政集团继续 坚持维系威权统治,排拒政治变革,由此导致官场腐败,法治难立,人权不彰,道德沦丧,社会两极分化,经济畸形发展,自然环境和人文环境遭到双重破坏,公民 的自由、财产和追求幸福的权利得不到制度化的保障,各种社会矛盾不断积累,不满情绪持续高涨,特别是官民对立激化和群体事件激增,正在显示着灾难性的失控趋势,现行体制的落伍已经到了非改不可的地步。

二、我们的基本理念

    当此决定中国未来命运的历史关头,有必要反思百年来的现代化历程,重申如下基本理念:

  • 自由:自由是普世价值的核心之所在。言论、出版、信仰、集会、结社、迁徙、罢工和游行示威等权利都是自由的具体体现。自由不昌,则无现代文明可言。
  • 人权:人权不是国家的赐予,而是每个人与生俱来就享有的权利。保障人权,既是政府的首要目标和公共权力合法性的基础,也是“以人为本”的内在要求。中国的历次政治灾难都与执政当局对人权的无视密切相关。人是国家的主体,国家服务于人民,政府为人民而存在。
  • 平等:每一个个体的人,不论社会地位、职业、性别、经济状况、种族、肤色、宗教或政治信仰,其人格、尊严、自由都是平等的。必须落实法律面前人人平等的原则,落实公民的社会、经济、文化、政治权利平等的原则。
  • 共和:共和就是“大家共治,和平共生”,就是分权制衡与利益平衡,就是多种利益成分、不同社会集团、多元文化与信仰追求的群体,在平等参与、公平竞争、共同议政的基础上,以和平的方式处理公共事务。
  • 民主:最基本的涵义是主权在民和民选政府。
    民主具有如下基本特点:
    (1)政权的合法性来自人民,政治权力来源于人民;
    (2)政治统治经过人民选择,
    (3)公民享有真正的选举权,各级政府的主要政务官员必须通过定期的竞选产生。
    (4)尊重多数人的决定,同时保护少数人的基本人权。
    一句话,民主使政府成为“民有,民治,民享”的现代公器。
  • 宪政:宪政是通过法律规定和法治来保障宪法确定的公民基本自由和权利的原则,限制并划定政府权力和行为的边界,并提供相应的制度设施。

在中国,帝国皇权的时代早已一去不复返了;在世界范围内,威权体制也日近黄昏;公民应该成为真正的国家主人。祛除依赖“明君”、“清官”的臣民意识,张扬权利为本、参与为责的公民意识,实践自由,躬行民主,尊奉法治,才是中国的根本出路。

三、我们的基本主张

    藉此,我们本着负责任与建设性的公民精神对国家政制、公民权利与社会发展诸方面提出如下具体主张:

  1. 修改宪法:根据前述价值理念修改宪法,删除现行宪法中不符合主权在民原则的条文,使宪法真正成为人权的保证书和公共权力的许可状,成为任何个人、团体和党派不得违反的可以实施的最高法律,为中国民主化奠定法权基础。
  2. 分权制衡:构建分权制衡的现代政府,保证立法、司法、行政三权分立。确立法定行政和责任政府的原则,防止行政权力过分扩张;政府应对纳税人负责;在中央和地方之间建立分权与制衡制度,中央权力须由宪法明确界定授权,地方实行充分自治。
  3. 立法民主:各级立法机构由直选产生,立法秉持公平正义原则,实行立法民主。
  4. 司法独立:司法应超越党派、不受任何干预,实行司法独立,保障司法公正;设立宪法法院,建立违宪审查制度,维护宪法权威。尽早撤销严重危害国家法治的各级党的政法委员会,避免公器私用。
  5. 公器公用:实现军队国家化,军人应效忠于宪法,效忠于国家,政党组织应从军队中退出,提高军队职业化水平。包括警察在内的所有公务员应保持政治中立。消除公务员录用的党派歧视,应不分党派平等录用。
  6. 人权保障:切实保障人权,维护人的尊严。设立对最高民意机关负责的人权委员会,防止政府滥用公权侵犯人权,尤其要保障公民的人身自由,任何人不受非法逮捕、拘禁、传讯、审问、处罚,废除劳动教养制度。
  7. 公职选举:全面推行民主选举制度,落实一人一票的平等选举权。各级行政首长的直接选举应制度化地逐步推行。定期自由竞争选举和公民参选法定公共职务是不可剥夺的基本人权。
  8. 城乡平等:废除现行的城乡二元户籍制度,落实公民一律平等的宪法权利,保障公民的自由迁徙权。
  9. 结社自由:保障公民的结社自由权,将现行的社团登记审批制改为备案制。开放党禁,以宪法和法律规范政党行为,取消一党垄断执政特权,确立政党活动自由和公平竞争的原则,实现政党政治正常化和法制化。
  10. 集会自由:和平集会、游行、示威和表达自由,是宪法规定的公民基本自由,不应受到执政党和政府的非法干预与违宪限制。
  11. 言论自由:落实言论自由、出版自由和学术自由,保障公民的知情权和监督权。制订《新闻法》和《出版法》,开放报禁,废除现行《刑法》中的“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”条款,杜绝以言治罪。
  12. 宗教自由:保障宗教自由与信仰自由,实行政教分离,宗教信仰活动不受政府干预。审查并撤销限制或剥夺公民宗教自由的行政 法规、行政规章和地方性法规;禁止以行政立法管理宗教活动。废除宗教团体(包括宗教活动场所)必经登记始获合法地位的事先许可制度,代之以无须任何审查的 备案制。
  13. 公民教育:取消服务于一党统治、带有浓厚意识形态色彩的政治教育与政治考试,推广以普世价值和公民权利为本的公民教育,确立公民意识,倡导服务社会的公民美德。
  14. 财产保护:确立和保护私有财产权利,实行自由、开放的市场经济制度,保障创业自由,消除行政垄断;设立对最高民意机关负责的国有资产管理委员会,合法有序地展开产权改革,明晰产权归属和责任者;开展新土地运动,推进土地私有化,切实保障公民尤其是农民的土地所有权。
  15. 财税改革:确立民主财政和保障纳税人的权利。建立权责明确的公共财政制度构架和运行机制,建立各级政府合理有效的财政分 权体系;对赋税制度进行重大改革,以降低税率、简化税制、公平税负。非经社会公共选择过程,民意机关决议,行政部门不得随意加税、开征新税。通过产权改 革,引进多元市场主体和竞争机制,降低金融准入门槛,为发展民间金融创造条件,使金融体系充分发挥活力。
  16. 社会保障:建立覆盖全体国民的社会保障体制,使国民在教育、医疗、养老和就业等方面得到最基本的保障。
  17. 环境保护:保护生态环境,提倡可持续发展,为子孙后代和全人类负责;明确落实国家和各级官员必须为此承担的相应责任;发挥民间组织在环境保护中的参与和监督作用。
  18. 联邦共和:以平等、公正的态度参与维持地区和平与发展,塑造一个负责任的大国形象。维护香港、澳门的自由制度。在自由民主的前提下,通过平等谈判与合作互动的方式寻求海峡两岸和解方案。以大智慧探索各民族共同繁荣的可能途径和制度设计,在民主宪政的架构下建立中华联邦共和国。
  19. 转型正义:为历次政治运动中遭受政治迫害的人士及其家属,恢复名誉,给予国家赔偿;释放所有政治犯和良心犯,释放所有因信仰而获罪的人员;成立真相调查委员会,查清历史事件的真相,厘清责任,伸张正义;在此基础上寻求社会和解。

四、结语

中国作为世界大国,作为联合国安理会五个常任理事国之一和人权理事会的成员,理应为人类和平事业与人权进步做出自身的贡献。但令人遗憾的是,在当今 世界的所有大国里,唯独中国还处在威权主义政治生态中,并由此造成连绵不断的人权灾难和社会危机,束缚了中华民族的自身发展,制约了人类文明的进步——这 种局面必须改变!政治民主化变革不能再拖延下去。

为此,我们本着勇于践行的公民精神,公布《零八宪章》。我们希望所有具有同样危机感、责任感和使命感的中国公民,不分朝野,不论身份,求同存异,积 极参与到公民运动中来,共同推动中国社会的伟大变革,以期早日建成一个自由、民主、宪政的国家,实现国人百余年来锲而不舍的追求与梦想。

Bought iphone from Apple store

Recently I bought 3 iphones from Apple store, two iphone 3GS from one of my friends (one was sent to Shanghai), one ipnone 4 is still awaiting delivery. Basically what I feel for this online purchasing:

1.    quite convenient if you have credit card;

2.    deliver lead time: 7 – 10 days for iphone 3 and 3 – 4 weeks for iphone 4;

3.    if you want to buy a brand new set from market without binding contract, it will cost you more (checked I few retailers, probably S$200 more), actually you can sell the brand new set to retailer at online price plus S$50 – 100;

4.    a few months ago, I signed my first iphone 4 with M1 for my wife, now it is her most proud thing in her handbag, Siyuan also will play the game every night before sleep;

 

As for iPAD, most probably I will wait for other competitors to come in the market and lower down the price, maybe end of this year or early of next year.

风雨无阻,至死方休


这个晚上有多少人和我们一样,为他举杯?我们今晚喝了不少于200杯,如果有10万桌我们,就是2000万杯。一个人在一个夜晚被敬2000万杯酒的感觉是怎样的?我不能想象,但这已经发生。

在他得奖以前,就一直有人在唱衰,他不可能得奖,因为北京很强大,北京要施压。现在我们可以看到,没有不可能,北京也没那么强大。总有人认为世界上只有利益,不相信还有公义这种东西存在。他的得奖则告诉我们,公义能够击败利益,只要它愿意。

这个奖当然是对PARTY的一记响亮耳光,现代文明社会是信奉法律的,当一个被某国法律判处有罪且正在服刑的罪人被授予诺贝尔和平奖的时候,只能说明某国的法律不被现代文明社会认可,换言之,某国政府尤其是政党的合法性(因为党政合一且党高于政)已经不被现代文明社会认可。

这不仅是耳光,这是仅次于战争的袭击。

对 获奖者本人来说,当然是终身成就奖。这个人最近21年来,不是被劳教,就是被监视居住,曾经可以离境换来平安,但拒绝离开,最后被判11年。他的名字成为 最高敏感词之一,他甚至被公开丑化都不再可能,因为某国政府尤其是政党不愿意他的名字在人间响起。在他获奖之日,他的灵魂依旧自由,身躯却囚在锦州监狱。

他之所以获刑,决非文字狱,而是行动。那一纸签名文书不止是文书,而是社会的横向联合,是1949年以来从未有的数量与质量都令人震惊的联合。实名签名而能上万,涵盖层面从知识精英,到中产阶级,到大学生,乃至引车贩浆者流。而这,正是某国政府尤其政党所最恐惧的。

他的获奖当然不代表他从此肉身成圣,却让我们看到未来的可能,看到公义,看到功不唐捐,看到每一滴水都可以具备大海的模样。

他的获奖,不止是对他本人数十年来致力的民主自由事业的认同,更是对所有致力同样事业的中国人的认同。在这里我愿意使用中国人这个被高度意识形态化的词。今夜我是中国人,而且因为与他同是中国人而荣耀。
他的获奖,带给我们最珍贵的东西不是别的,而是希望。强大国家机器的惯性不会因他的获奖戛然而止,但却可能有所压缩或改辙,而不论如何,这都意味着未来的样子会有所变化。这一切又取决于你我是否相信它会有所变化以及怎样变化,同样也取决于你我如何去促成此种变化。

只要我们都像他一样:风雨无阻,至死方休。

Interviewed by LianHe Zaobao at SPH

 Interviewed by Lianhe Zaobao on 01-Sep-2010 afternoon at SPH center, regarding the newly joined Singapore Citizenship. The journalist was much interested in the reason I became a Grassroots leader (RC member). It is to be published on newspapers on next Monday (6-Sep-10).

From recent news, due to some policy changes from government, compared with PR, the citizens are getting more subsidiaries in terms of school fee (from childcare center to university), medical cost, HDB housing loan, getting a maiden etc from early of Y2010, so more and more PRs are applying the citizenship which they may not consider before, and I am just one of them, maybe I add in one more strong reason – save the medical cost for my son.

It could be a phrase like this abbreviated in a way that only you will understand. For example, if you want to become a novelist, post an image of your dream home office or the front cover of a book. Make sure this is in a location where you will see it frequently; every time those stressful moments at work arise, you’ll have this reminder: This is only temporary. I will not be doing this forever。

  9.Maintain a satisfactory job performance, but de-invest emotionally. This one takes practice, and meditation helps with this. Keep in mind that this job is temporary, so it is not worth your losing sleep over. Practice not engaging with people who try to push your buttons. Think of yourself as working for yourself, not for the company. Do your best to stay below the radar by making sure you are performing satisfactorily, but as much as possible, reduce work-related activities that consume your energy but have little to no return on investment。

Specialized diploma in Franchise and enterprise management in Ngee Ann Poly

So You Want to Franchise Your BusinessThis is really interesting program; and I was attracted to it, not just because of its cheap cost (90% refund by government due to SPUR program), also I have been thinking something like franchise for quite a period, and I am not sure whether I will be one of the franchisee in the future or not (of course, I hope so, as least I have something to showoff in front of young generation when I become old).

A few point here:

1. All students are adults, and their profiles are really very wide (from business owners, banker, house agent, Franchisor, Franchisee, and engineer like me etc.);

2. Very demanding from lecturers, almost every lecturer requested the group projects and presentations, sometime really busy with these kind of preparations and presentation of projects;

3. Topic is useful; at least much broaden my knowledge;

4. some of the lecturers are really good enough, they have a lot of wonderful personal experiences to share.

So far so good, as a conclusion at this moment, franchise may not suitable for most of persons, and may not make decent income at your initial startup stage. And maybe you will be the next failure since most of the franchisees will drop finally due to all kinds of reasons.

I don’t know what will happen on me after this program.

At the beginning of my seminars, I introduce people to the three most dangerous words in the English language: "I know that."

So how do you know if you know something? Simple. If you live it, you know it. Otherwise, you heard about it, you read about it, or you talk about it, but you don't know it. Put bluntly, if you're not really rich and really happy, there's a good chance you still have some things to learn about money, success and life.

When I was broke I was fortunate to get some advice from a multi-millionaire friend of my father's. He said to me: "Harv, if you're not as successful as you'd like to be, there's something you don't know." Fortunately, I took his suggestion to heart and went from being a "know-it-all" to a "learn-it-all". From that moment on, everything changed!

One common saying when it comes to investments is “The higher the risk, the higher the return”. This is also true in terms of acquiring wealth. Nothing is guaranteed in this world except change. But most of the common people seek for a certain thing that is guaranteed. That’s why they end up being an employee for the rest of their lives, because they are guaranteed to be paid with their time of duty in exchange with their freedom.

People with rich mindset know how to handle risk. They take every opportunity that they encounter regardless of the cost and odds as long as they see a possibility of a great success. They work it out & do some action! When they lose in the business, they lose money, but they earn financial wisdom. They gain experience in which they can use as a big tool the next time they try again.
